At Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), we’ve been powering people and careers since 1937.  Regarded as a world leader in power transmission, BPA employees are recognized for their industry expertise and a safety record that consistently outperforms the utility industry standards.

BPA owns and operates one of the nation’s largest high voltage transmission systems with more than 15,000 miles of line and 200+ substations in a service territory that covers all of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and western Montana, and outlying areas.  BPA also operates large inter-regional transmission lines that connect to Canada, California, the Southwest and eastern Montana.  Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, BPA provides over a third of the power consumed in the Pacific Northwest.

Not only is BPA recognized as a world leader in transmission but BPA has received numerous awards including Oregon State’s “Families in Good Company”.  How did we become a world leader?  The answer is simple -- our people.  And the best part of all, our employees get to work, live, and play in the great Pacific Northwest!  You can learn more about BPA at
www.bpa.gov
