Sumter Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SECO), a large electric distribution cooperative located in Central Florida, has immediate openings for qualified Journeyman Line & Substation Technicians working from offices in The Villages and Sumterville, FL. Requirements include a HS diploma/GED, a minimum of 3 years line or substation experience and a certificate of completion from a recognized apprentice program, or a total of 5 years line or substation experience without the apprentice certificate. Line experience must include OH and UG electric distribution construction, maintenance & troubleshooting; qualification in transmission line work preferred. Substation experience must include all areas of electric distribution system substation construction, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance. Valid Florida Class A CDL with an excellent driving record is also required.
Compensation: $29.96/hour, plus an excellent benefit package. Candidates must live within 30 miles of reporting work center. Relocation reimbursement for eligible candidates who must relocate.
